Police Stations Establish Women, Children's Rights-Protection Work Stations
December 3, 2022
To help women and children protect their legal rights and interests, Qinzhou Women's Federation and Qinzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau, during the first half of this year, established 77 women and children's rights-protection work stations in Qinzhou, a city in South China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Changtian (a block in Qinbei, a district in Qinzhou) Police Station in March held a ceremony to announce the establishment of the women and children's rights-protection work station, which is the first of its kind in Qinzhou. During the following several months, police stations (in various regions of Qinzhou) followed suit.
At roughly the same time, workers with both local police stations and local women's federations have made tremendous efforts to help residents resolve disputes within families, in part to promote social harmony and stability.
Since 2021, Qinzhou Municipal Public Security Bureau has handled a combined 708 cases involving domestic violence, and has issued 140 warnings to the perpetrators of that violence.
